Aluminum alloy power cable
New material power cable aluminum alloy power cable is a new material power cable with AA8030 series aluminum alloy material as the conductor and advanced technology such as special roll-forming wire stranding production process and annealing treatment. The alloy power cable makes up for the deficiency of the previous pure aluminum cable. Although it does not improve the electrical conductivity of the cable, the bending performance, creep resistance and corrosion resistance are greatly improved, which can ensure the continuous performance and stability of the cable in case of long-term overload and overheating. The AA-8030 series aluminum alloy conductor can greatly improve the electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance of the aluminum alloy cable, and solve the problems of pure aluminum conductor and creep.
Relevant advantages of aluminum alloy power cable
Aluminum alloy power cable has good mechanical and electrical properties, making it widely used in various fields of the national economy. Creep resistance: The alloy material and annealing process of aluminum alloy conductor reduce the "creep" tendency of the conductor under heat and pressure. Compared with pure aluminum, the creep resistance can be increased by 300%, avoiding the relaxation problem caused by cold flow or creep. Tensile strength and elongation: Compared with pure aluminum conductor, aluminum alloy conductor has greatly improved its tensile strength due to the addition of special components and the use of special processing technology, and the elongation has been increased to 30%. Its flexibility is 33% higher than that of copper, and its elasticity is 40% lower. It is more safe and reliable to use. Thermal expansion coefficient: the thermal expansion coefficient is used to calculate the size change of the material when the temperature changes. The thermal expansion coefficient of aluminum alloy is equivalent to that of copper. For many years, aluminum connectors have been reliably used for copper and aluminum conductors, and most electrical connectors used today are made of aluminum, which is especially suitable for aluminum alloy. Therefore, the expansion and contraction of aluminum alloy conductor and connector are completely consistent. Connection performance: the electrical connection made of aluminum alloy is as safe and stable as the connection made of copper conductor. The composition of aluminum alloy has greatly improved its connection performance. When the conductor is annealed, the added iron produces high strength and creep resistance, which can ensure the connection stability even in case of long-term overload and overheating. Strong dead weight bearing capacity: aluminum alloy improves the tensile strength of pure aluminum. Aluminum alloy cables can support 4000 meters of dead weight, while copper cables can only support 2750 meters. This advantage is particularly prominent in the wiring of large-span buildings (such as stadiums). Corrosion resistance: the inherent corrosion resistance of aluminum comes from the formation of a thin and solid oxide layer when the aluminum surface is in contact with air, which is particularly resistant to various forms of corrosion. Flexibility: aluminum alloy has good bending performance. Its unique alloy formula and processing technology greatly improve flexibility. The flexibility of aluminum alloy is 30% higher than that of copper, and the resilience is 40% lower than that of copper. Generally, the bending radius of copper cable is 10-20 times the outer diameter, while the bending radius of aluminum alloy cable is only 7 times the outer diameter, which makes it easier to connect terminals. Armor characteristics: the armor layer improves the fire resistance and fire resistance of the cable and reduces the fire risk factor. Compared with steel strip armor, the aluminum alloy strip armor structure is light in weight, convenient in laying, free of bridge installation, and can reduce the installation cost by 20%~40%. Different outer sheath layers can be selected according to different places of use, so that armored cables can be used more widely. Compaction characteristics: the unconventional compaction technology is adopted to make the compaction coefficient reach 0.93, while the compaction coefficient of profiled line can reach 0.95, which is the first in China. Through the maximum limit of compaction, the deficiency of aluminum alloy in volume conductivity can be made up, and the stranded conductor core is like a solid conductor, which can significantly reduce the outer diameter of the core and improve the conductivity. Under the same current carrying capacity, the outer diameter of the conductor is only 10% larger than that of the copper cable.
Performance of aluminum alloy power cable
1、 Corrosion resistance: the corrosion resistance of pure aluminum is better than that of copper, but the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy is better than that of pure aluminum, because the addition of rare earth and other chemical elements in aluminum alloy can increase the corrosion resistance of aluminum alloy, especially the electrochemical corrosion resistance, which solves the problem of electrochemical corrosion of pure aluminum at the joint for a long time. 2、 Mechanical properties: first, tensile strength and elongation. Compared with pure aluminum conductor, aluminum alloy conductor has greatly improved its tensile strength and elongation to 30% due to the addition of special components and the use of special processing technology, which is more safe and reliable. Second, bending performance. The bending performance of aluminum core cable is poor, and it is easy to break when bending. The bending radius of aluminum alloy power cable is 7 times of the cable outer diameter, which is far better than the 10 times - 20 times of the cable outer diameter specified in "Minimum bending radius during cable installation" in GB/T12706. Third, flexibility. As long as the pure aluminum cable is twisted at a certain angle for several times, the conductor will crack or break, which is easy to cause accidents. The aluminum alloy power cable can withstand dozens of bends, eliminating the hidden danger of accidents in the installation and use of the pure aluminum cable in the past, and greatly improving the safety and reliability performance. 3、 Conductivity: aluminum alloy conductor is a new conductor material formed by alloying process by adding rare earth, magnesium, copper, iron and other elements to pure aluminum. It is well known that the conductivity of aluminum will decline after adding other alloy elements. Through process control, the conductivity can be restored to the level close to that of pure aluminum, so that it has a similar current carrying capacity with pure aluminum. 4、 Creep resistance: the creep resistance of pure aluminum is poor. The thermal expansion and contraction caused by power-on and power-off will cause large creep at the joint. After a long time, it will relax, and the contact resistance will increase, causing overheating, which is easy to cause accidents. The creep resistance of AA8000 series aluminum alloy is 300% of that of pure aluminum conductor, which greatly reduces the possibility of cable joint relaxation and improves the connection condition of conductor.
