Red and green lines of wires and cables
1. Red: It represents the line of fire, usually represented by the letter l. This color is very bright, can give people a sense of tension visually, and has the function of warning, so it is used on the live line. 2. Green or yellow-green color: it represents the ground wire, which belongs to the insulated conductor and plays a protective role in the circuit. Because after the zero line is disconnected, it will be electrified, and then the ground wire can effectively prevent the electrified zero line from causing electric injury to people. However, this kind of line cannot be used as a phase line under any circumstances.
What color of wire represents
1. Red: It represents the line of fire, usually represented by the letter l. This color is very bright, can give people a sense of tension visually, and has the function of warning, so it is used on the live line. 2. Blue and black: they represent the zero line, usually represented by the letter n, and belong to the neutral line in the wire. This kind of wire is not electrified in general, but also electrified in special cases. 3.
There are several colors of cables and wires
The standard five-core cable is generally divided into five colors: yellow, green and red are connected to three phase lines A, B and C respectively, blue is connected to the neutral line (N), and black is connected to the ground line (E). Five-core cables must contain light blue and green/yellow insulated core wires. Light blue core wire must be used as N wire; Green/yellow dual-color core wire must be used as PE wire, and mixing is prohibited.
Why do wires and cables have different colors
The main reason why wires need to be colored is for the safety of electricity use, to avoid wrong connection during wiring, so that we can better distinguish the position of each line, reduce the probability of wrong operation, and improve the safety of wiring. The color used for the wire is very strict. For example, the yellow and green two-color wire cannot be replaced by the type of wire. For the wires used in DC, the positive pole must use red wire, and the negative pole must use black wire.
