Oil-filled cable
Oil-filled cable: power cable that improves the working field strength of the cable. Oil-filled cable includes self-contained oil-filled cable and steel tube oil-filled cable. It is a kind of power cable that eliminates the air gap formed in the oil-paper insulation layer due to load change by adding impregnating agent to improve the working field strength of the cable.

Type of oil-filled cable
1、 Self-contained oil-filled cable. Self-contained oil-filled cable has single-core and three-core structures. The voltage level of single-core cable is 110kV-750kV, and that of three-core cable is generally 35-110kV. The conductor of single-core self-contained oil-filled cable is generally hollow. The hollow part acts as an oil passage. Some have oil passages under the metal sheath, forming a double oil passage structure. The latter has been phased out. 2、 Steel pipe oil-filled cable. Steel pipe oil-filled cable is generally three-core. Place three shielded cable cores in a steel pipe filled with insulating oil under a certain pressure, and its function is similar to that of self-contained oil-filled cable. Use the method of adding impregnating agent to eliminate the air gap formed in the insulating layer, so as to improve the working field strength of the cable.
Oil-filled cable structure
1、The conductor of single-core self-contained oil-filled cable is generally hollow. The hollow part acts as an oil passage. Some have oil channels under the metal sheath, which have become a double oil channel structure, and the latter has been eliminated. The cable is equipped with supplementary impregnation equipment. Such as pressure box, gravity box, etc. The supplementary impregnation equipment is connected with the cable oil channel to store or compensate the impregnating agent of the cable in case of volume change (thermal expansion and contraction of the cable due to load change) and maintain a certain oil pressure. 2、 The conductor of oil-filled steel pipe cable has no central oil channel, and the structure of the insulation layer is the same as that of self-contained oil-filled cable. The electrical performance requirements of oil-filled steel pipe cables are the same as those of self-contained oil-filled cables.
