wire and cable KM|What does km represent in wires and cables?

Wire and cable km

KM or K refers to contactor. KM contactor is used to make and break load. It is combined with thermal overload relay to protect electrical equipment in operation. It is combined with relay control circuit to remotely control or interlock relevant electrical equipment.

Difference between wire and cable

Wire is generally used for conducting metal wire carrying current. There are solid, twisted or foil woven forms. It can be divided into bare wire and insulated wire according to the insulation condition. A cable is an insulated conductor composed of one or more mutually insulated conductive cores placed in a sealed sheath. A protective covering layer can be added outside for transmission, distribution of electric energy or transmission of electric signals. The main difference between it and ordinary wires is that the cable size is large and the structure is complex. The difference between wire and cable is that the size of wire is generally small and the structure is relatively simple, but sometimes the cable is also classified as a generalized wire.

Wire and cable selection

Conductor size 1, 1.5, 2.5, 4, 6, 10, 16, 25, 35, 50, 70, 95, 120, 150, 185, 240 mm2. Unused ones include: 0.5, 0.75, 300, 400, 500 mm2, etc. 2.5 flat copper wire=4 flat aluminum wire. five × 4=20A plus 20 threading × 0.8=16A electricity, that is to say, choose 2.5 flat copper wire or 4 flat aluminum wire, and they can carry 16A current when they are threaded. The load current value (part) of the wire specified in the national standard gb4706.1-1992/1998 should be used for 5000w electrical appliances. Copper core wire: the cross-sectional area of copper core wire allows long-term current. 2.5 mm2 (16A~25A) 4 mm2 (25A~32A) 6 mm2 (32A~40A). Aluminum core wire: the sectional area of aluminum core wire allows long-term current. 2.5 mm2 (13A~20A) 4 mm2 (20A~25A) 6 mm2 (25A~32A).
