locomotive cable|What is locomotive cable?

Locomotive cable

The locomotive cable is applicable to the electric energy transmission signal control of various locomotives and metro vehicles and other electrical devices with flame retardant requirements.

Railway locomotive cable

The cable for railway rolling stock is applicable to the wiring of electrical equipment inside the rolling stock with AC rated voltage of 3000V and below. It has a soft structure and can be used in situations polluted by mineral oil and fuel oil. The long-term allowable working temperature of the cable shall not exceed 100 ℃.

Applicable scope of railway locomotive cable

Railway locomotive wires and cables shall be used for power distribution system, control system and electrical equipment cables of railway passenger car wires and cables with rated voltage below 3KV. It is especially suitable for narrow space and occasions with special requirements such as low smoke, halogen-free and flame retardant.

Service characteristics of wires and cables for railway locomotives

1. Rated voltage (AC) is divided into 500V, 750V, 1500 and 3000; 2. The allowable long-term working environment of cable core is 125 ℃, and the temperature during short circuit shall not exceed 250 ℃ (short circuit time is 5S); 3. The minimum ambient temperature of cables: - 40 ℃ for non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger cars, - 60 ℃ for non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger cars; 4. Non-high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables are allowed to be used in the environment with various kinds of grease pollution, and high-strength thin-walled railway passenger car cables are allowed to be used in the harsh environment with various kinds of grease pollution and non-high concentration of acid and alkali pollution; 5. Allowable bending radius of cable laying: when the cable diameter is less than or equal to 10mm, it shall not be greater than 2 times of the cable outer diameter; When the cable diameter is greater than 10mm, it is less than or equal to 20mm, and not more than 4 times of the cable outer diameter; When the cable diameter is greater than 20mm, it shall not be greater than 6 times of the cable outer diameter.
