Computer Cables

Introduction to Computer Cables

Computer cables belong to the category of electrical equipment cables. This cable is suitable for electronic computers and automation instruments with a rated voltage of 500V and below, which have high anti-interference requirements. According to different environments and equipment usage requirements, cable insulation can be made of materials such as polyethylene, polyvinyl chloride, cross-linked polyethylene, fluoroplastics, silicone rubber, etc.

Computer cable is a type of cable used in electrical equipment, which is composed of one or more insulated wire cores, surrounded by a shielding layer and a protective layer. The main function of computer cables is to transmit signals and data between electronic computers and automated instruments and meters. Computer cables have excellent shielding and anti-interference properties, which can effectively prevent external electromagnetic interference and internal crosstalk, ensuring signal integrity and stability.

Computer cables are suitable for electronic computers and automation connection cables with a rated voltage of 500V and below, which have high anti-interference requirements. The insulation of the cable ground wire core is made of K-type B-type low-density polyethylene with antioxidant properties. Polyethylene has high insulation resistance, good voltage resistance, low dielectric coefficient, and little influence of dielectric loss temperature and frequency variation. It not only meets the requirements of transmission performance, but also ensures the service life of the cable.

In order to reduce mutual crosstalk and external interference between circuits, the cable adopts a shielding structure. The shielding requirements for cables are based on different occasions, using methods such as twisted pair combination shielding, total shielding of twisted pair composed cables, and total shielding after twisted pair combination shielding.

There are three types of shielding materials: round copper wire, copper tape, aluminum tape/plastic composite tape. The shielding pair and the shielding pair have good insulation performance. If there is a potential difference between the shielding pair and the shielding pair in use of the cable, it will not affect the transmission quality of the signal.

Executive standards

Q/CL04-2003 (equivalent to British BS5308 standard)

Flame retardant performance test shall comply with GB12666-90 standard

specifications

Computer cable specifications refer to the cross-sectional size and number of wire cores. There are various computer cable specifications, commonly used including 0.5 square meter, 0.75 square meter, 1 square meter, 1.5 square meter, 2.5 square meter, etc. Generally, larger specifications need to be customized by the manufacturer.

advantage

(1) Mechanical performance: Computer cables use Class 5 soft conductors to make them soft and durable;

(2) Electrical performance: As an insulation material for computer cables, PE has stable working capacitance and dielectric constant;

(3) Shielding performance: Computer cables have double-layer shielding performance, high anti-static and electromagnetic interference resistance, and superior shielding effect;

(4) Flame retardant performance: the computer cable sheath is made of flame retardant PVC or Low smoke zero halogen materials, with good flame retardant performance.
