Compensation cable
Compensation wire (compensation cable) refers to a pair of wires with insulation layer that have the same nominal value as the thermoelectric electromotive force of the matched thermocouple within a certain temperature range. They are used to connect the thermocouple and temperature display control instrument to compensate for the errors caused by temperature changes at their connection with the thermocouple.
Compensation wires (compensation cables) are suitable for single or multi-point connection of automatic temperature measurement instruments in industries such as power, metallurgy, petroleum, chemical, light textile, as well as national defense, scientific research, and other departments.
Executive standards for compensating wire and cable
The production execution standards for compensating cables and compensating wires: GB/T4989-94 and JB/T7495-94
Usage conditions
1. Working temperature:
Heat resistant: up to 200 ℃ and 260 ℃.
Generally used: up to 70 ℃ and 105 ℃.
2. Minimum ambient temperature:
Fluoroplastic insulated and sheathed cables: fixed laying -60 ℃, non fixed laying -20 ℃.
PVC insulated and sheathed cables: fixed laying -40 ℃, non fixed laying -15 ℃.
3. Allowable bending radius:
a) Compensation cables with copper tape shielding should not be less than 16 times the outer diameter of the cable;
b) Compensation cables for other structures should not be less than 10 times the outer diameter of the cable.
Compensates for the role of the conductor cable
The function of the compensation wire (compensation cable) is to extend the cold end of the thermocouple and connect with the thermometer to form a temperature measurement system. The product adopts polyvinyl chloride insulation and sheath, and has the excellent moisture-proof, wear-resistant and flame-retardant properties of fluoroplastic insulated compensation cable.
